My Story
My journey into art might be a bit unexpected. I started as a medical student and spent four intense years working in healthcare, including on the COVID-19 ward, COVID-19 resuscitation, and vascular surgery. During that time, I realized that my true passion has always been art.
While still in medical school, I made the decision to change direction and began studying graphic design. In 2023, I also started taking drawing seriously again, something I’ve loved since I was a child, and quickly found my way into illustration.

In 2025, I illustrated my first children’s book, and soon after, more projects followed. I now work as a freelance illustrator, collaborating with self-published authors and helping them shape their ideas into something visual, meaningful, and engaging for young readers.
I love every part of the process. For me, it’s not just about creating beautiful images, but about capturing emotion, mood, and small details that make a story feel alive and memorable.
I’m especially drawn to warm, story-driven illustrations that feel cozy, expressive, and full of personality. I’m excited to continue building my portfolio in the picture book field, and growing as an illustrator with every project I take on.
Nature is a big source of inspiration for me, and my love for travel plays a big part in that. I’ve visited 24 countries (and counting), and each experience continues to shape my perspective and influence my work. My art reflects my love for nature and storytelling, and I’m always ready to take on new creative challenges. I have a strong work ethic, and thanks to my time working in the hospital, I’m no stranger to working under pressure - so deadlines? Bring them on!

Accomplishments
In June 2023 I took part in the annual SoftUni FEST competition. It was a great challenge because you have to develop a whole brand idea, design it, and then present it in only 48 hours. My team and I worked hard and are proud that we were second out of 200 people.

Storytelling & Writing

Alongside my illustration work, I’ve been exploring storytelling and narrative development to deepen the way I create visual stories. Recently, I completed an online Creative Writing course with the University of Oxford, where I focused on building characters, atmosphere, and emotional depth in storytelling. While illustration remains my main focus, learning to shape stories from both a visual and written perspective is something I care deeply about, especially in the context of children’s books.
